Physician View of C-Pulse®
A New Treatment OptionPhysicians view the C-Pulse System as a new option for the treatment of Class III and ambulatory Class IV heart failure. It has the potential to change the way cardiologists treat this class of heart failure because it may help improve the patient’s quality of life. The device can be disconnected without harm to the patient which is not possible with later stage approved circulatory support heart failure treatments. William Abraham

Why Do Physicians Believe in C-Pulse?C-Pulse offers physicians a minimally invasive option, with the potential for a quick patient recovery time, and the ability to forgo anti-clotting medication such as heparin or warfarin. Since the device sits outside of the blood stream, the chance for stroke and blood clots may be reduced. Because of these features, the procedural and device patient risk are expected to be less than other currently approved Class III and Class IV mechanical assist technologies. |

increased cardiac outputC-Pulse is designed to provide more blood flow from the heart and improve heart function. |
increased coronary outputC-Pulse pushes blood through the coronary arteries to increase the amount of oxygen to the heart. |
Decreased afterloadC-Pulse assists the heart by reducing its workload, allowing the heart to pump with less effort. |
Small incisionThe device may be implanted minimally invasively. |
